Indications and contraindications
Dorn Massage is a highly effective treatment. However, depending on your condition, it may be more or less suited. In the following I provide a list of conditions where Dorn Massage has been found to be effective, and a list of conditions where Dorn Massage is not indicated.
Conditions where Dorn Massage has been found to be an effective treatment:
Sciatic problems, hip pain, lumbago, all kind of discus protrusion/prolapse conditions, pelvis pain, scoliosis, neck and shoulder pain or tension
- Arthritis of any joint
- Difference in length of legs, connected to an inclined pelvis
- Chronic pain, migraine, insomnia, depression
- Bad posture or prevention and treatment of scoliosis in children and babies
- Also for clients who enjoy good health, and would benefit from re-balancing energy work
Conditions where the Dorn Massage is not indicated:
Fresh fracture after accident (to be checked with X-rays)- Inflamed joints should not be treated
(the 5 signs indicating a inflammation are: swelling, heat, redness, reduced mobility, pain) - Client must be able to walk to the clinic and stand up /sit / lay down without help since treatment is given in motion and should not cause pain
- People with advanced osteoporosis or bone cancer should not be treated
